How Next, Block and Report Work

Use Next for a Normal Change

Using Next does not necessarily mean someone violated a rule. It is a normal part of random video chat.

Next is appropriate when

• The conversation is not interesting
• You do not share a language
• The connection is weak
• Neither person begins talking
• The conversation has naturally ended
• You want another person

Use Block to Prevent Further Interaction

Block is appropriate when you do not want to interact with that user again. The exact technical effect of blocking should match the real product. Do not claim blocking guarantees two users can never encounter each other again unless the system enforces that outcome.

Reasons may include

• Repeated unwanted contact
• Boundary violations
• Harassment
• Suspicious behaviour
• A personal decision to avoid future interaction

Use Report for Possible Rule Violations

Report when conduct may violate community guidelines. A report allows the platform to review available information. It does not guarantee a specific enforcement result.

Examples include

• Threats
• Harassment
• Fraud attempts
• Requests for money
• Prohibited sexual conduct
• Hate-based abuse
• Impersonation
• Dangerous or illegal activity

Leave Before Reporting When Necessary

Your immediate safety and comfort come first. You do not need to remain in a harmful conversation to collect more information. Leave, then report using the available process.

Do Not Misuse Reports

False or retaliatory reports reduce the effectiveness of moderation systems.

Do not report someone simply because

• They used Next
• They disagreed with you
• They did not want to share contact details
• The conversation was boring
• They ended the chat politely

What Information Helps a Report?

Do not publish another user's private information publicly.

Useful information may include

• Approximate time
• Type of behaviour
• Relevant session information
• A concise explanation
• Existing evidence available to the platform
